About this fundraiser:

This year, Orangewood Christian Middle School students have a special opportunity to put their knowledge and compassion into action. Many people around the world do not have access to a clean, local water supply, a blessing we usually take for granted. As a result of our students’ cross-curricular study of the novel, A Long Walk to Water, they became motivated to find a way to help.

Orangewood is thrilled to be partnering with Devon Leondis and her Project Nyame Nse organization. Devon came from Ghana to speak at our weekly chapel and partner with our students for this amazing cause. The funds that are raised in our “Walk for a Well” project will go towards the installation of a second well at Devon’s Village of Hope. We hope that our walk-a-thon will inspire others to support this life-changing well project.

On December 7, during our “Walk for a Well” event, students will be walking laps on the football field in their Leadership Teams. Each team member is encouraged to participate and reach an individual goal of $50.00. Special surprises await those teams who work together to meet their goals.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • A new water well for the Nyame Nsa project in Ghana, Africa
