Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers soon and walking/running at Puppy Haven's Dog-a-thon. I'm excited to be a part of it because the money raised will go directly to saving puppies and dogs off the streets, out of kill shelters and into loving homes!

I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help my cause by making a pledge per lap or a simple flat donation?

About this fundraiser:

PUPPY HAVEN RESCUE is a no-kill, non-profit dog rescue. We were established in 2017. PHR saves dogs off the streets and from kill shelters. We get them healthy and adopt them out to loving, forever homes. We have rescued over 400 dogs in our first year! The need for dog rescues is critical in Oklahoma. Thousands of dogs are in need and suffering everyday. The only way we can help these dogs is with your help. We would like you to be part of our mission and help us raise money so that Puppy Haven Rescue can continue saving dogs and providing them quality care. We routinely have to turn dogs away because we have limited space and funds. YOU can have a direct effect on how many dogs we can save this next year!!!

We are hosting a Dog-a-Thon
Date: September 29th
Location: Veterans Park - 1875 S. Boulder Ave.
Time: Registration begins at 8am - the track will open at 9am. We will close the track at 1pm.

SO WHAT EXACTLY IS A "DOG-A-THON"?

This is your good old-fashioned Jog-A-Thon with the exception that both 2-legged and 4-legged friends alike are welcome! Each participant will find sponsors for themselves or for their dog. These sponsors will fund a dollar amount of their choice for each lap that the participant walks or jogs at the Dog-A-Thon.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Our goal is that each person finds 5 or more people to sponsor them for the dog-a-thon.
Your sponsors can either pay a flat fee of a $20 donation, or sponsor $1.00 per lap with a goal of 20 laps or more. Don't worry, the track is small! With each lap you make, a volunteer will keep tally so that we may total your donation amount at the end of the day.

We encourage that you walk with a friend or a group and find other participants to compete with to see who can earn the most money. The winner will win a PIZZA PUPPY PARTY with their friends. We will announce the winner of the most money raised the following day. We are asking everyone to raise as much money as possible because each dollar effects how many rescues we can save!

EVEN IF YOU ARE OUT OF STATE YOU CAN STILL PARTICIPATE. If you would like to raise money for the rescue dogs, but cannot physically make it to the event we can have a proctor run for you and represent you. They will run with one of our current available rescue dogs of your choice. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in this option.
