About this fundraiser:

Goshen Swimming Incorporated and Goshen Community Schools Swim programs play a vital role in the development of hundreds of Goshen community children each and every year. On 4/29, these two organizations are hosting a “lap-a-thon” and open swimming event at the new Goshen Aquatic Center at Goshen Middle School. This event is being held to support these kids efforts to participate in swimming and to promote participation in swimming. The kids will earn money directly towards offsetting their costs and will also raise funds for the Bryan Rathke Scholarship.

The Bryan F Rathke scholarship awards $1,000 to a high school student who has been part of the swim/dive team for at least 3 years. Coach Rathke devoted his life to helping kids learn life lessons through academics and swimming. He was Goshen High School' s winningest coach, and to this day, several school records are still held by his swimmers. He began the age group swim team to groom young children in a sport which depends on swimmers of all talents and skills.

Our goal is that each swimmer raise $100 in sponsorships.
