About this fundraiser:

South Coast Montessori is a new school in Santa Barbara with a long lineage of AMI Montessori history. It's a place where student learning thrives and children love to go to school.

Maria Montessori discovered that the Montessori education is not something which the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being. It is not acquired by listening to words, but in virtue of experiences in which the child acts on his environment. The teacher’s task is not to talk, but to prepare and arrange a series of motives for cultural activity in a special environment made for the child.

We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do at South Coast Montessori without your monetary support. So on February 10th, the children of SCM will be lacing up their shoes, pulling out their bikes, trikes and scooters and hitting the pavement to move and raise money. How many times can they walk around our schoolyard? You can donate a fixed amount or make a donation based on the amount of laps.
