Dear Friends and Family,

I have joined my friends in a school district-wide Readathon which will run through February 8th. This event raises money for my classmates and me to continue to be enriched with a strong music program and will hopefully create new, innovative programs like maker spaces, hands-on science and other enrichment programs that are essential but not funded by the State of California.

I'm super excited to be a part of this event. I would appreciate it if you could help support me by making a simple flat donation.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

About this fundraiser:

The San Mateo-Foster City Ed Foundation (smfcedfund.org) exists to support programs that the State of California does not fund such as music, art, hands-on science & middle school athletics. For years we have granted funds to sustain music education at all SMFC elementary schools. We've recently secured grants to start Art in Action and a "Maker Space" at two schools as well as a grant for new glass wear and digital thermometers for all Middle School science rooms. Our Readathon blends the joy of literature with your generosity so we can expand the variety of innovative, enriching opportunities that our students deserve. Starting on January 26th, students can visit smfcedfund.org/readathon to track reading minutes and watch read-aloud videos! Please ask friends and family to support the Readathon!

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Elementary Music & 5th Grade Instrumental Music
  • Building STEAM programs like Maker Spaces & Art in Action
