Help spread the word

Dear Friends and Family,
I am buckling up my helmet and mountain biking, on June 21st, at the Ledyard Middle School Bike Club Bike-a-Thon. This event raises money for me and my teammates to have a permanent home for our bikes! We need a place to securely store our bikes and learn to how to repair our mountain bikes during the season.
I would appreciate it (and so would my 32 teammates and our volunteer coach) if you could help support me.
Thanks in advance for your support!
About this fundraiser:
Ledyard Middle School Bike Club is open to all students. Students who participate include student leaders, high-achieving students, students identified with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism. This club has grown from five students to thirty three in three years. This club has filled a void for students who do not enjoy other organized sports. We hold practices twice a week on the trails behind the school and around the school campus. Students work on basic balance skills, agility, riding techniques, form and riding stamina. No previous riding experience is necessary. Our club participates in races with other middle school teams. The enjoyment is clearly contagious; after each practice more students ask to join the team.
We have been lucky enough to receive 15 bikes for team use and anticipate having more bikes in the future. We need a place to store school bikes and bikes riders bring from home. Currently we house all of our bikes in the boys' locker room showers. We need a permanent location to house our fleet as well as store maintenance supplies, tools and bike equipment!
Your donations will help pay for:
- Building a permanent shed for the LMS Bike Club equipment.
