Trinity Alber
National Convention

Between now and April 8, The Hawkeye staff is voluntarily performing random acts of kindness to improve MTHS and our local communities. Will you help by making a pledge per hour that I volunteer (10 hours max) or by making a simple flat donation?

This Volunteer-A-Thon is inspired by Jim "Animal" Pecotte – the long-time MTHS custodian who took care of the Hawkeye staff for 20+ years. Jim retired recently and graciously donated a major sum of money to the Hawkeye as seed money, so we're doing this fundraiser in his honor since he volunteered to support on numerous occasions.

These funds will help keep the publication solvent and help members of the Hawkeye attend upcoming JEA/NSPA National Journalism Conventions. These conferences are the premiere conventions in the world for student journalists, featuring more that 250 sessions, workshops, clinics and presentations.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

About this fundraiser:

The Hawkeye’s mission, as a designated open public forum faithfully serving our audience since 1960, is to provide the MTHS community with quality, thought-provoking, student produced publications.

The Hawkeye is a student-centered, student-managed organization where learning thrives and students are honored for the important work they produce. Since its inception in 1960, The Hawkeye has enjoyed a national reputation as one of the top publications. We believe that this is because of the incredible students who work on the publication, the awesome staff and school administration who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning, and more importantly the incredible support of our families and community. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support.

Please know that no donation amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are truly appreciated.
