Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers next week and Walking the Waldorf Path for my school. I'm excited to be a part of it because this event supports school spirit, health and wellness and raises money to enrich our school curriculum and programs.

I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per lap or a simple flat donation?

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

About this fundraiser:

Dear PWS Families,

There's a great energy buzzing around the school. The warmth of spring brings extra energy and joy to our bodies. Last week, I noticed at least one student wearing a "Walking the Waldorf Path" t-shirt every day. They wear it with such pride. We all have our favorite day of the year and the walk-a-thon is my favorite. There's just something about the combination of exercise and a group of people that tightens its relationship. It's the only time of the year when all of the students are together, encouraging each other, and pushing their bodies for a goal - to raise money for the school they love. As parents, we show our support often - like May Faire, the school auction, and class events. The walk-a-thon is the students' opportunity to show their support on their own, which they seem to do with great enthusiasm.

Some kids walk. Others skip. Some run as fast as they can for 45 minutes straight! The high schoolers count laps, hand out water, and give us some African drumming beats to help move our feet. When all of the pieces come together it becomes quite a celebration.

The last several weeks of school are busy. This day is a gift that makes it all worthwhile. Please join us in supporting this year-end event and the opportunity we’re giving our children to “Walk the Waldorf Path” as one.

*Teachers have the forms for t-shirt sizes, so please return them ASAP.
