The platform processes online donations through major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Additionally, the platform provides free tracking for offline cash and check donations, allowing organizations to keep 100% of those offline funds without incurring any processing fees.
99Pledges’ built-in messaging and automated outreach capabilities make it easy to send tailored communications to donors, such as customized donation receipts, reminders, and thank-you emails. Your team can also use the built-in messaging system to reach out to participants with custom emails to spread the word about your campaigns.
99Pledges is a free fundraising platform with no required fundraising minimums, subscriptions, or contracts. Instead of charging your organization, the platform runs on optional tips from donors. Organizations are only responsible for covering the transaction processing fee (3.49% plus 49 cents per transaction), which secures every payment that is processed and covers the cost of sending credit, debit, and ACH charges, and safely delivering donations.
Founders Brad Dowhaniuk and Vinay Anne began building 99Pledges in the winter of 2011 with the goal of helping groups use the web to raise money instead of relying on traditional, paper-based methods. Both founders are deeply passionate about fundraising and brought over 15 years of experience from working at technology start-ups, including Facebook and SonicWALL, to the company.

The only cost you’re responsible for is the transaction processing fee, which is 3.49% + $0.10 per donation. 99Pledges is able to remain free thanks to optional tips from donors. As your supporters make their donation to your campaign, they’ll have the option to make a donation to the 99Pledges platform as well.
